Angel of the Waters (Bethesda Fountain) is a sculpture which
is located on Bethesda Terrace and is probably the most recognizable
area of Central Park in New York City. (click on the image to see
full-size).
The sculpture is the work of Emma Stebbins
(1868) who was the first notable female American sculptor.
